I was fortunate to be able compete in the Myrtle Beach Half Marathon in very difficult conditions (chilly and wind gusts of over 40 mph during the last four miles of the race). However, my accomplishment pales when compared to my girlfriend’s daughter, Kaitlin Skawinski. Due to various medical issues, Kaitlin could barely walk just three short years ago. With minimal training, Kaitlin finished her first half marathon this past Saturday! Great job Kaitlin!
